Emergency First Responder
Whether you are a diver or not, first aid and CPR are essential skills to have. The lifesaving skills that you learn from the Emergency First Response course can be used in all situations. Be confident and prepared so you can respond quickly in a serious medical emergency.
You will learn to:
• Basic Life Support CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level• Use an Automated External Defibrillator
• Prevent and care for the victim
• Manage injury to the spine
• Reduce the risk of a disease transmitting with the use of barriers
• Apply basic first aid
Before you start, you need to:
• Have the desire to care for other people• Be willing to assist others in a medical emergency
You will attend:
• 1 theory class• CPR practice
